Take a Drive to See the Fall Foliage

After a week listening to folks argue petty problems a legal clerk finds nothing better than to go see some wide open natural beauty.  And the nicest way to enjoy nature’s beauty during this time of year is to go to the mountains to view the trees and foliage as it begins to turn for the fall season.  To do this it is often best to take advantage of one of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s special rates that you get when you use a Groupon coupon or promo code.  That way one can rent an Enterprise car for special weekend or holiday rates.  And you can count on their vehicles being in excellent condition and ready for some wide-open road driving. And a trip to the mountains is one of the best ways to “air your head out” after a long and tiring week bogged down in complicated cases in the office.

A great place to go in the fall is either the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina or Skyline Drive in Virginia.  These roads run along the spine of the Eastern Continental Divide.  In Virginia, the view of the Shenandoah Valley from Skyline Drive is considered one of the great sights in America.  You also see such natural wonders as the Luray Caverns, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain and Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi River.  But the real treat is the rainbow of colors you see as the trees begin preparing for the winter.  Pictures cannot do it justice.  Everywhere one looks there is a riot of color.  Seeing it is an experience one remembers for a lifetime.

They aren’t the only routes good to see fall foliage.  U.S. Route 2 in the Berkshires of Massachusetts is another well-known fall travel site.  New York City residents can drive north to the Bear Mountain Parkway to see the fall foliage and the Hudson river; the Delaware Water Gap is also near New York and Philadelphia, while Bostonians have the White Mountains of New Hampshire at their doorstep.  So when you next need a taste of fall beauty, fresh air and escape from the humdrum world of legal hassles, pack a jar of apple cider and use a Groupon to rent a car from Enterprise so you can wander through the mountains to savor the beauty of the world you live in.
